Flu vaccination

We run the seasonal flu vaccination from autumn. It is free for people the NHS lists as eligible, and available privately to everyone else.

Seasonal Free if eligible

About this service

Done in minutes

The jab itself takes seconds. Most of the visit is the questions beforehand and a short wait afterwards.

Recorded for your GP

The vaccination goes into your NHS record, so your surgery knows you have had it.

Best early in the season

Protection takes about two weeks to build, so autumn is better than waiting for the first cold snap.

How it works

01

Check you are eligible

Ask the team, or check the NHS list. If you are not eligible, we can vaccinate you privately.

02

Answer a few questions

The pharmacist checks allergies, current health and previous reactions.

03

Have the jab and wait briefly

You stay for a few minutes afterwards, then you are done.

Questions about this service

Who gets it free?
The NHS list includes people aged 65 and over, pregnant women, people with certain long-term conditions, and carers. Ask us if you are unsure.
Can I get it if I am not eligible?
Yes, as a private vaccination. Ask the team for the current price.
Will it give me flu?
No. The vaccine cannot cause flu. Some people get a sore arm or feel tired for a day.
